GitHub Enterprise uses a self-signed SSL certificate to secure the configuration of your instance. You may see a warning about this in your web browser on the next screen, but rest assured this is expected and all is well.

On the next screen, click on the Show Details button when prompted, then proceed to click on 'visit this website' to bypass Safari.

On the next screen, click Continue to this website to bypass Internet Explorer.

Verifying the certificate's authenticity

You can check the certificate's fingerprint in the hypervisor console.
